Day 1 – Welcome to Africa

Upon arrival in Cape Town, guests will be met by a representative of Opentour Africa who will hand over the travel documents and transfer them in a private vehicle to the Victoria & Alfred situated in the waterfront district of Cape Town.
Cape Town, known as the Mother City, is situated on the South Western tip of the African Continent, in one of the most beautiful, natural locations in the world. As beautiful as the surrounding beaches and vineyards may be, it’s the rugged wilderness of Table Mountain, coated in a unique flora that grabs everyone’s attention.

Built in 1904 as the North Quay Warehouse and converted in 1990 to a luxury hotel, the Victoria & Alfred hotel is named in honor of the Queen of England and her son. This elegant and romantic hotel has a definite Cape colonial feel to it, excellently combining its rich heritage and Victorian elegance with modern luxury.

Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Resort

Upon arrival guests will be met by our transfer agent who will road transfer them to Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Lodge, in the world famous Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.
Lunch is enjoyed on arrival before checking in and going on the afternoon safari
The Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve is the birthplace of sustainable wildlife tourism in Southern Africa, and is the oldest of all the private reserves in South Africa. It has only ever been a wilderness area and is home to a vast wildlife population, including The Big Five, and a number of endangered species too. Flanking the Kruger National Park, animals pass unhindered between the reserves.

Once a private retreat, Chitwa Chitwa is named after an old giraffe bull who shared the lakeside home with the Brink family. Today Chitwa Chitwa is a magnificent private game lodge and like the graceful old giraffe, it blends humbly into the surrounding beauty of the unspoiled bush of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.

Day 7 – The 7th Natural Wonder of the World
After an early breakfast, guests will be collected and transferred by road to Kruger International airport for the direct flight to Livingstone in Zambia. After customs and immigration guests will be met by a Royal Chundu representative who will transfer them to the lodge.
The Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. The Local people call it “Mosi-oa-Tunya” — the smoke that thunders , and the Falls are remarkable. There is a magic about them manifested in the towering column of spray when the river is high, the thunder of the falling water, the terrifying abyss and tranquil lagoons upstream in which hippo and deadly crocodiles lurk. The Victoria falls is 1 708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. It drops between 90m and 107m into the Zambezi Gorge and an average of 550,000 cubic meters of water plummet over the edge every minute.

Royal Chundu is a sanctum of quiet solitude and untouched beauty and the first Relais & Châteaux property in Zambia. Two luxurious lodges are situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, just upstream from the magnificent Victoria Falls on a 15km stretch of private waterway which is protected by two sets of rapids. From the comfort of your bed at night, hear the orchestration of Africa, ceremonial drumming in the background blending with the lions roar, elephants trumpet, hippo grunting and the eerie call of the hyena, truly an unforgettable experience
